With the release of Permafrost album, Coldridge takes a new approach to blending genres to create something all their own. Laced with character, an edgy and colorful undertone, and plenty of hooks, the record boasts the aesthetic of pop-rock anthems.

The first single "We Take Care of Our Teeth" grabs you with a seriously catchy groove, a wild hard rock tone, and a progression that sticks with you.

"The song is about watching your life feel better after a period of unfulfillment. It’s not about everything being perfect, yet, but it’s about noticing little things improve and having your spirits lift as a hopeful light emerges."  explains vocalist Reyna of the single.

Although the singles speak volumes for the album, to get a full understanding of where Coldridge is really coming from, the album should be heard in its entirety.

“We have, over time, since the beginning been finding new ways and getting better at writing sounds that sound natural yet unexpected and making each song sound completely unique within our discography. Since the first album (Scales Under Skin) we have improved exponentially at using our influences in a more creative and refreshing way — and with this album we feel we have truly achieved all of this.” says Bassist and keyboardist Ryder of their evolution in songwriting.

The formation and creation of Coldridge comes from a group of friends and the more comfortable they become working with each other from a songwriting standpoint, the more each member is able to bring to a new composition.

With the creation of this album, the group remained laser focused on compelling melodies and grooves to fill the room with energy.

This record let the band build a formula for which they can write monstrous songs together.

The Permafrost album is a testament to where they are with their sound right now.
